Good day guys....
Today
I will share my inspirative stories to my dear readers, but before that let us
pray to Allah SWT because we are still here and I can still write my amazing
blog and I send my deep regards and gratitude to my professor and senior, who
have helped me to make delicious foods.
I
won’t tell you my story about cooking in this occasion, because few days ago
Mr. Ical said that this university will held an event, where it invites experts
of tourism and hospitality and other tourism schools, which some of them come
outside Makassar. Mr. Ical has made or programmed our culinary event in
Poltekpar so that it will be famous in our nation’s eyes and in this even we’ve
prepared booths for cooking show, where it
will shows us the authentic food from Poltekpar especially SKU or MTB.
At
that day Mr. Ical has said that this FITE even will be held for five days. In
this event SKU will conduct the cooking show on Thursday and Friday, but we
mustn’t underestimate this so seemingly lots of time because the foods that
will be presented are so many including : coffee break, nasi kotak, few types of
breads and cakes, etc. For nasi kotak and coffee break 15 men have been
assigned and the other parts actually just need 4 to 5 people, I was even
assigned at the pizza part and our group was planning to make a pizza that will
triumph the pizza hut, lol.
On
Thursday our group will do cooking show in the auditorium. We prepared our
ingredients from 3 days before the show. We were so busy packing up our
equipment from the kitchen to the auditorium, some of my friends even take the
equipment without the help of car, and that cost a lot of times. Fortunately,
it wasn’t Ramadhan, if it were, I bet there is someone who will secretly drink,
haha.
After
all the equipment were placed, we were gathering back inside the auditorium. There
are already some group for the responsible parts, for example: pizza, d’crepes,
sushi, meatballs and cord dong. While waiting for the show to begin, we were
hearing the opening speech from the experts, but actually I just understand a
little, because my English isn’t so good. I was trying in my friend’s booth to
check the taste of the food, but I must walk away from it because the experts
were coming to try the food, so I must go to the other booth to check to
improve the food’s taste.
Finally,
Friday is the end day of the FITE – event. All of the people were so buys
moving or returning the equipment and cleaning the booths. After all of that,
we were gathering back at the kitchen for the general cleaning. Because this is
the last day of practical work in the kitchen, so the students must be focus
cleaning the equipment in the kitchen. After the cleaning process was done, we
were meeting back to pray and go home.
