Daily Activities

Hello friends
.

It's great that we can be reunited in my blog The Next Master Chef, where I will bring you into an adventure in the culinary world, where I will retell the activities that I did this morning. But remember, friends, we must not forget that in starting something we have to start with prayer, because praying is a sign that we are always remembering Allah SWT. Hopefully the work we do today could run smoothly and we would be eased in practicing. And do not forget to thank the lecturers and seniors who continue to guide us in the difficult and sorrow he..he..he..he. Now is the time for me to tell an adventure (he..he..he..he..he ... I want to be a little exciting). ok let's go.

On this sunny morning I woke up at 4:30 a.m. then continued with the morning prayer. After morning prayer, I had breakfast and got ready to leave. I left for campus at 6:15 a.m. because we were told to come sooner to prepare materials that required a long time to process. After arriving at campus, there were still friends who hadn't arrived yet, but I asked permission from the senior to enter faster because I had to prepare in advance. After all my complete friends gathered in the pastry and prayed before starting the practice. After praying, we start the practice.

As agreed yesterday, today our group will practice Japanese cuisine, sushi or norimaki. You know what kind of food sushi is. But even though you know what sushi is, you certainly don't know the history, or the origin of the sushi. Therefore, I will try to explain the terminology of the sushi, who knows when you meet Japanese people and are asked about the origin of sushi cuisine, you can answer it and are not underestimated by them because you don’t have the knowledge and can eat it only. Ok now I will explain.

Sushi is basically Japanese food consisting of rice formed with side dishes (neta) in the form of seafood, meat, raw or cooked vegetables. Sushi rice isn't only made from plain rice, you know! He also has a soft sour taste because it is seasoned with a mixture of rice vinegar, salt, and sugar. Besides that the word sushi is an adjective for sour taste written in kanji. Writing sushi using kanji which began in the mid-Edo period is an ateji writing method. That way, as long as the word sushi is a description of the fermentation process, which means the process of preserving fish with fermentation packaged in rice. For the process to run well, vinegar is needed. Sushi has been known since the Edo period, and is known as oshizushi. But at the end of the Edo period, the name sushi changed back to nigirizushi. It's just smaller in size so it's easy to enjoy. In the 1970s sushi was still a luxury food, whereas for ordinary people they could only enjoy special occasions. Although it has long been known by the Japanese people, but the first sushi shop was only founded in Osaka in 1958. Since then until now, sushi has always had its own place among Japanese connoisseurs.

Now you know where sushi comes from. But with the progress of the times people finally know that Indonesians like to taste strange foods, finally many chefs start learning Japanese cuisine. Starting from noodles, udon, tempura, and also sushi. Because our group is only in charge of preparing ingredients for making sushi such as cucumbers, fish eggs, Japanese rice, eggs, sausages, and tuna fish, we finished quickly and can prepare the remaining ingredients tomorrow.

After completing the preparation of the ingredients, we saw our friends’ practices, if there are those who need help, we come to give assistance. Finally, all the groups finished with the food preparation. All the prepared ingredients are put into the cooler so that it does not rot quickly. We also gathered to prepare for the GC. After the GC, we did oneline and prayed. We went back to our homes safe and sound.
