Daily Report 07/02/2019

                                      بِسْمِ اللّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيْمِ
       
        As always, I would like to tell you about my today's acitivities. Before that, let's say our gratefulness to Alloh SWT for all His blessing hence we can meet again in this blog, which is filled with my activities in the kitchen. Beside that, I want to also thank my teacher and senior who guide me patiently until now.

        In a cloudy day, I started my activities by waking up on five o’clock am. While waiting for adzan subuh, I reread the material about how to make choux pastry. After I heard the adzan and prayed, I got ready to go to my campus. I took a bath, had breakfast, and then left at 07.40 am. I arrived at my campus at 08.00 am.

       As I arrived in campus, I prepared to make a line to disciplined my friends when we want to enter the kitchen. As we know, on all our practices, there will always one or more person in charge to examine our tasks. In this fourth semester, one of the person in charges is Kak Daniel. After we finished our absence check, we gathered in the pastry.

       As our agreement yesterday, we decided to make choux pastry. Choux pastry itself is divided into two kind of shapes. But before we went any further, usually our senior would ask us about the terminology definition of food that we want to make, which for today was the choux pastry. After we answered the question, Pak Ical, my teacher, explained those two basic shapes of choux pastry which are eclairs and cream puff. He also explained the procedure of how to make it, started from the ingredients, the main process, the cooling process, the shaping process, until the last step which how to fill the choux pastry. After that, Pak Ical ordered us to make the choux pastry based on his explanation.

       We started to practice as what Pak Ical demonstrated before. Unfortunately, in the middle of the practices there were some differences happened, and some of our groups were failed to make the choux pastry as perfect as Pak Ical’s example. In fact, we needed such a long time to finish it. We finished all the processes at 2.00 pm. After that, we made a line and got ready to do general cleaning.

       After we finished our general cleaning, we went out from the kitchen and gathered behind it to wait for our senior who brought our choux pastry result. They asked us to eat all the cake without leaving any. After we finished eating all the choux pastry, we made a line again and prayed before we went home. Finally, we were allowed to go home and took a rest.
